As a fundamental part of the work, we will address the case of the Calfulafken Community, located in the town of Carhué, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which is in a process constituting a revaluation of its ethnic identity, in the local context. In this sense, we will address the Ethnogenesis concept to see its relevance in the case analyzed and try to see the particularities of the case as well as the generalities that encompass it in a broader and long-standing process. El objetivo del presente trabajo es describir y analizar los procesos de revalorización étnica acaecido en los últimos tiempos en espacios urbanos, que mediante el aumento en la organización comienzan a buscar una mayor participación en espacios de decisión y autodeterminación. Como parte fundamental del trabajo abordaremos el caso de la Comunidad Calfulafken, situada en la localidad de Carhué, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, que se encuentra en un proceso constitutivo de revalorización de su identidad étnica, en el contexto local. En este sentido, abordaremos el concepto Etnogénesis para ver su pertinencia en el caso analizado e intentaremos ver las particularidades del caso como así las generalidades que la engloban en un proceso más amplio y de larga data.
