We aim at analyzing the creation of an Indigenous pedagogical event called Cultural Week Tekoá Marangatu, by the Indigenous Mbyá Guarani community, located in the south of the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. In 2023, in its 10th edition, the community received the visit of more than 60 schools, originated from different cities, summing up to around 3 thousand people during the four-day event. We argue that this interest in Indigenous culture is the effect of the application of Law 11.645/08, which makes mandatory the teaching of Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous history and culture in schools. In this article, we discuss the role of the Mbyá Guarani people in relation to the themes: (i) Indigenous protagonism; (ii) pedagogical activities to valorize their culture; (iii) intercultural pedagogical experience;(iv) expanded linguistic education. We also analyze the place of the indigenous language, paying attention to the pedagogical role of the linguistic and sound landscapes of the community during the Cultural Week. This is a case study that illustrates the Indigenous protagonism in promoting intercultural pedagogical encounters and experiences. O Dia dos Povos Indígenas (Lei nº 14.402/2022), celebrado no dia 19 de abril, é uma data que visa a valorização dos diferentes povos indígenas que constituem a sociedade brasileira. Objetiva-se analisar o desenvolvimento de um evento escolar denominado Semana Cultural Tekoá Marangatu, organizado inicialmente em razão do dia 19 de abril, em uma comunidade indígena Mbyá Guarani, localizada no sul do estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil. Em 2023, em sua 10ª edição, a comunidade recebeu a visita de mais de 60 escolas, oriundas de diferentes cidades, somando em torno de 3 mil pessoas durante os quatro dias de evento. Argumentamos que esse interesse é efeito da aplicação da Lei nº 11.645/08, que torna obrigatório o ensino de história e cultura afro-brasileira e indígena nas escolas brasileiras. Neste artigo, discorremos sobre o papel do povo Mbyá Guarani em relação aos temas: (i) protagonismo indígena; (ii) atividade pedagógica de valorização de sua cultura; (iii) experiência pedagógica intercultural; e (iv) educação linguística ampliada. Analisamos, também, o lugar da língua indígena no contexto investigado, atentando para o papel pedagógico das paisagens linguística e sonora da comunidade no decorrer da Semana Cultural. Trata-se de um estudo de caso que ilustra o protagonismo indígena na promoção de encontros e experiências pedagógicas interculturais.
