Pre-pandemics data from Policarpo and Bergmann's article, published in 2021, is the basis for this work. As a first result 488 publications were found when applying the same research strategies. However, when applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria for having the use of applications in foreign language classes as an objective, only 20 papers remain. Among these results, an increase in the number of publications in Latin America was noted, mostly from Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil. Therefore, this work is dedicated to not only study and comprehend the data but also to investigate the growing use of foreign language applications in Latin countries' basic education. Este artículo tiene como objetivo investigar el uso de aplicaciones móviles en las clases de lenguas extranjeras en la enseñanza básica a través de una revisión sistemática y usando como base el trabajo de Policarpo y Bergmann, publicado en 2021, con datos pre pandémicos. Como resultados, tras aplicar las mismas estrategias de búsqueda, lo que se encontró fueron 488 publicaciones, pero, al aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se ha quedado apenas 20 trabajos que tenían como objetivo el uso de aplicaciones en las clases de lenguas extranjeras. Entre estos resultados, se notó un crecimiento en el número de publicaciones en Latinoamérica, justo porque gran parte de los trabajos son de países como Colombia, Ecuador y Brasil. Así que, más allá de los datos, este trabajo también se dedica a investigar esta creciente en el uso de apps de lenguas extranjeras en la enseñanza básica en los países latinoamericanos. Este artigo tem como objetivo investigar o uso de aplicativos móveis nas aulas de língua estrangeira na educação básica por meio de uma revisão sistemática e utilizando como base o trabalho de Policarpo e Bergmann, publicado em 2021, com dados pré-pandêmicos. Como resultados, após aplicar as mesmas estratégias de busca, o que se encontrou foram 488 publicações, mas, ao aplicar os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, restaram apenas 20 artigos que tinham o objetivo de utilizar aplicativos em aulas de língua estrangeira. Dentre esses resultados, notou-se um crescimento no número de publicações na América Latina, justamente porque grande parte dos trabalhos são provenientes de países como Colômbia, Equador e Brasil. Assim, além dos dados, este trabalho também se dedica a investigar esse crescente uso de aplicativos de língua estrangeira na educação básica em países latinos.
