The object will be developed through a brief review of the actions of the young people of the 37 in the province of Cuyo to, in a second instance, examine the intellectual precepts spread through El Zonda. La propuesta principal del presente artículo consiste en indagar cómo el periódico El Zonda sirvió de elemento receptor de los postulados políticos e ideológicos de la Generación del 37 dentro de San Juan. Según buscamos demostrar, en el territorio sanjuanino, la fuente en cuestión significó la primera experiencia de divulgación pública de las novedades llegadas desde Buenos Aires en la década de 1830. El objeto será desarrollado mediante una breve reseña en torno al accionar de los jóvenes del 37 en la provincia cuyana para, en una segunda instancia, examinar los preceptos intelectuales difundidos a través de El Zonda.
