Unlike the historiographies of Ingenieros and Korn, Alberini observes in Alberdi, Sarmiento and Echeverría the formulation of a romantic historicism that results from the conjugation of ideas from romanticism and the Enlightenment. This interpretation is taken up and reformulated in the writings of Guerrero and Astrada. At first, we study the plots and tensions that affect the emergence of historiographical practices in tension with the process of professionalization of philosophy, to later describe the way in which the theoretical and methodological variations of the evocations of romantic historicism germinate in new invocations of the national personality. Analizamos las evocaciones filosóficas de la Generación del ‘37 que Coriolano Alberini realiza en 1930 y Luis Juan Guerrero y Carlos Astrada en 1940 bajo el supuesto de que pueden ser leídas como ejercicios historiográficos contemporáneos al proceso de institucionalización de la Historia de las Ideas. A diferencia de las historiografías de Ingenieros y Korn, Alberini observa en Alberdi, Sarmiento y Echeverría la formulación de un historicismo romántico que resulta de la conjugación de ideas procedentes del romanticismo y la ilustración. Esta interpretación es retomada y reformulada en los escritos de Guerrero y Astrada. En un primer momento estudiamos las tramas y tensiones que inciden en la emergencia de las prácticas historiográficas en tensión con el proceso de profesionalización de la filosofía, para posteriormente describir el modo en que las variaciones teóricas y metodológicas de las evocaciones del historicismo romántico germinan en nuevas invocaciones de la personalidad nacional.
