Sumario:In this paper I analyze the patriarchal scenario that rules women's entry into the sphere of Chilean philosophy, understanding that this entry has as a reference frame the "manly" conception of philosophy (Fornet-Betancourt, 2009). Under this conception, we consider the Comtean proposal on the scientific education of the mother-teacher, assumed by Valentín Letelier as an educational conception that admits only elementary education for women. This type of education and the decree by Amunátegui, which allows for the admission of women in the University, permits the emergence of women professors and scholars, an example of which is Carla Cordua in the ’50. This itinerary shows the double path followed by women in this field, be it by a universal joining to philosophy or by reflection from several feminist currents.
