description The archaeological heritage of Las Tunas river basin (Valle de Uco, western Mendoza) is highlighted by 32 rocks with three types of engravings distributed in an area of 27 km2. This type of representations, and their combinations, are oustanding for the area and for the whole region. Although some of them were previously known, in recent years a comprehensive survey in the area and its study within the framework of landscape archeology has been carried out. This paper proposes an evaluation of La Pampa site as a valuable resource, and a management plan which considers the potential of its archaeological record, its heritage value and the possibilities of it inclusion in a cultural route opened to locals and tourists. To do this, an action project is proposed based on the logical chain of heritage, understanding that each phase of the valuation sequence expands the process of recognition and socialization of cultural goods, with the objective of guarantee their protection, conservation and diffusion.
