This paper analyzes the practices of production, consumption and circulation of alternative audiovisual productions on Argentine television through the experience of Giramundo TV, a channel of the province of Mendoza, Argentina. This analysis is based on understanding the phenomenon in the current media ecosystem, characterized by the use of new technologies, media evolution and the multiplication of screens. These transformations, however, did not guarantee the exercise of the right to citizen communication, so it is necessary to study the survival strategies of community audiovisual media for the democratization of the public sphere. |
