description This work aims to point out the organization and actions that have been sustained over the years by Las Patronas, a group of women from Veracruz that since 1995 have provided humanitarian aid, specifically food, to migrants mainly from Central America, who transit through Amatlán de los Reyes, Veracruz, Mexico, hoping to reach the northern border of the country. From a feminist perspective, based on an ethnographic approach, the reflection aims to elucidate how throug their action in defense of human rights of migrants, Las Patronas have built relationships of coexistence and mutual support themselves as well as strengthening sorority bonds within their group. These actions impact on the recognition of their identity and situation as women in the spaces through their daily lives.
