El ensayo analiza las metáforas de un capítulo del Capital, "La llamada acumulación originaria", de Karl Marx, revisando las tensiones estéticas, éticas, epistemológicas y políticas de su entramado textual. Conectando el imaginario marxiano principalmente con el gótico, traza asimismo una posible genealogía de estudios sobre las "metáforas" de Marx, hasta conectar con su crítica y cuestionamiento feministas en la propuesta de Silvia Federici en Calibán y la bruja.
