In particular, Graciela Montaldo, for whom the founder texts (and later) would make use of the image of the countryside, and Adolfo Prieto, for whom those texts would have been written imitating and correcting the narratives of travelers who visited our country, in the early nineteenth century. The review of these two works aims to indicate how the field, and specially, the topic of the travel among the pampas reappear in Argentine novelistic of the late twentieth century, in the form of pastiche and collage, both typical of post historic art. After reading two novels considered as paradigmatic cases –El sueño del señor juez, by Carlos Gamerro y Un episodio en la vida del pintor viajero, by César Aira, 2000 both– and with the help of notions such as topic and foundation, this article try to elucidate the aesthetic, historical and sociopolitical effects of this operation that some novels of the late twentieth century seem to be made on the texts of the beginning of the Argentine literature. Because of space, I have not try to a detail analisys of these novels but a frame of reference, in a first part; some theoretical and methodological categories, in a second part and, finally, some problems and possible answers to these problems. |

Este trabajo empieza por recoger las reflexiones que ciertos críticos han hecho en torno a la fundación de la literatura argentina. En particular, Graciela Montaldo, para quien los textos fundadores (y otros posteriores) harían uso de la imagen de lo rural, y Adolfo Prieto, para quien esos mismos textos se habrían escrito corrigiendo e imitando los relatos de los viajeros que visitaron el Río de la Plata, a principios del siglo XIX. La revisión de estos dos ensayos sirve para señalar cómo el campo y, especialmente, la tópica del viaje por la pampa vuelven a aparecer con cierta recurrencia en la novelística argentina de finales del siglo XX, bajo la forma del pastiche y del collage que son propios del arte posthistórico. A partir de la lectura de dos novelas consideradas como casos paradigmáticos –El sueño del señor juez, de Carlos Gamerro y Un episodio en la vida del pintor viajero, de César Aira, ambas de 2000– y con el concurso de nociones como las de tópica y fundación, se intenta dilucidar las consecuencias estéticas, históricas y socio-políticas de esta operación que cierta narrativa de fines del siglo XX parece efectuar sobre los textos de los comienzos de la literatura argentina. Por razones de espacio, el trabajo, sin embargo, no aborda el análisis detallado de las novelas en cuestión, sino, que diseña, en una primera parte, cierto marco referencial, en una segunda, ciertas categorías teórico-metodológicas y finalmente algunos problemas y algunas respuestas posibles a esos problemas.
