It demands its space within western discourse and look for appropriate European legacy. This article focuses on two contributions to Latin America literary theory: Discurso en loor de la poesía by peruvian anonymous and Apologético a Don Luis de Góngora by Juan de Espinosa Medrano. The article is focus on the inflections of the creole discourse and on the textual operations that this discourse builds from a distance and the permanent “here-there”. The creole´s texts draw on paper a subordinate situation in space and in the hierarchy of the imaginary. They address to a distant recipient and try to legitimize themselves; as if the creoles were resisting with all their might to the second place reserved for them. This is the case of our first "critics" concerned about affiliations and attentive to enroll in the metropolitan academy.
