The article contextualizes and analyzes the emergence of drone technology,incorporates relevant concepts, and outlines the necessary methodology for the developmentof activities feasible within the municipal context. To execute the tasks, the area of interestwas carefully selected, and flight plans were meticulously devised for days with favorableatmospheric conditions. Subsequently, the flights were carried out as planned. Following this,the obtained images underwent processing and post-processing to generate photographicmosaics, forming the basis for the creation of digital cartographic products. The finalproducts, including photographic mosaics and thematic maps, showcase key elements of thestudy area such as tourist infrastructure, municipally significant infrastructure, and naturalresources like the course of the Luján River and the experimental field of the NationalUniversity of Luján. These maps provide the municipality with detailed and updatedinformation to support decision-making in territorial management and urban planning withinthe Luján district. In conclusion, the incorporation of this type of technology has proven to bea valuable tool for obtaining precise and up-to-date spatial information. El presente trabajo presenta la incorporación de la tecnología drone y el desarrollo de unametodología para su implementación por parte de la Subsecretaría de Innovación Pública delMunicipio de Luján, con la cual poder alcanzar productos cartográficos digitales en altaresolución espacial. El artículo contextualiza y analiza el surgimiento de la tecnología drone,incorpora conceptos y aborda la metodología necesaria para el desarrollo de las actividadesposibles de ser implementadas en el ámbito municipal. Para llevar a cabo las tareas seseleccionó el área de trabajo de interés, se planificaron los vuelos en días con condicionesatmosféricas propicias y se efectuaron dichos vuelos. Luego, se procesaron y post procesaronlas imágenes conseguidas con el fin de obtener los mosaicos fotográficos que permitieron lageneración de productos cartográficos digitales. Los productos finales, mosaicos fotográficosy mapas temáticos, presentan elementos claves del área de estudio como infraestructuraturística, infraestructura de interés municipal y recursos naturales como el cauce del río Lujány el campo experimental de la Universidad Nacional de Luján. Estos mapas proporcionan almunicipio información detallada y actualizada para apoyar la toma de decisiones en la gestióndel territorio y la planificación urbana del partido de Luján.
