La hipótesis que recorre el artículo sostiene que el zombie es “un monstruo del biopoder”, esto es, que esta figura presenta ciertas características que permite relacionarla con las reflexiones de Michel Foucault –y la posterior re-lectura que realiza de estas Gilles Deleuze– en torno al análisis del biopoder. In the context of proliferation of the cultural industry’s image of the zombie, this article discusses the recreation of this monster as it appears in The Walking Dead, the TV series. The hypothesis that goes through the article is that the zombie is a “Biopower Monster”, i.e., that this figure has certain features that allow us to relate it with Michel Foucault’s reflections -and the posterior reframing of this subject by Gilles Deleuze- re- garding the studies on Biopower.
