description In this article, we propose to reflect on the contents, teaching materials and demands that circulate concerning the use of knowledge about the local-regional Indigenous past and present and its relationship with Archeology in the schools of Tandil, province of Buenos Aires. Intertwined with other strategies and lines of research carried out locally, we seek to build a diagnosis on the circulation and resignification of knowledge about the Indigenous past to project lines of action and public communication in the local community. On this occasion, we analyzed provincial Curriculum Designs for Secondary Education, interviewed teachers from public and private institutions, and investigated the availability of resources in school libraries. Overall, we observe little knowledge about the local and regional indigenous past and no school and academic materials to address these topics in the classrooms. Also, according to the results, we highlight that the archaeological discipline is not understood as related to studying the Indigenous past and present of this particular place.

Also, according to the results, we highlight that the archaeological discipline is not understood as related to studying the Indigenous past and present of this particular place.  En este trabajo nos proponemos reflexionar sobre los contenidos, los materiales didácticos y las demandas que circulan en relación con el uso de los conocimientos sobre el pasado y presente indígena local-regional y su vínculo con la Arqueología en las escuelas de Tandil, provincia de Buenos Aires. Junto con otras estrategias y líneas de investigación realizadas localmente, buscamos construir un diagnóstico sobre la circulación y resignificación de los conocimientos sobre el pasado indígena para, así, proyectar líneas de acción y comunicación pública en la comunidad local. En esta oportunidad, lo hacemos a través del análisis de Diseños Curriculares para la Educación Secundaria provinciales, entrevistas a docentes de instituciones públicas y privadas, y con la indagación en la disponibilidad de recursos en las bibliotecas escolares. En conjunto, observamos que existe un escaso conocimiento sobre el pasado indígena local y regional, así como una ausencia de materiales escolares y académicos para abordar estos temas en las aulas. Asimismo, se registra una percepción de que la disciplina arqueológica no se relaciona directamente con el estudio sobre el pasado y presente indígena de un lugar. Neste artigo, propomos refletir sobre os conteúdos, materiais didáticos e demandas que circulam em relação ao uso do conhecimento sobre o passado e o presente indígena local-regional e seu vínculo com a arqueologia nas escolas de Tandil, província de Buenos Aires. Juntamente com outras estratégias e linhas de pesquisa realizadas localmente, buscamos construir um diagnóstico da circulação e ressignificação do conhecimento sobre o passado indígena para projetar linhas de ação e comunicação pública na comunidade local. Nessa ocasião, fazemos isso por meio da análise dos Projetos Curriculares do Ensino Médio da província, de entrevistas com professores de instituições públicas e privadas e da investigação da disponibilidade de recursos nas bibliotecas escolares. De modo geral, descobrimos que há pouco conhecimento sobre o passado indígena local e regional, bem como falta de materiais escolares e acadêmicos para abordar essas questões em sala de aula. Há também uma percepção de que a disciplina de arqueologia não está diretamente relacionada ao estudo do passado e do presente indígena de um lugar. Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
