In the case of Spain, these demands are various: to be able to have a place to bury their deceased in accordance with Islamic practices, or the improvement and adaptation of the enclosures or better public management. This paper classifies the different types of Muslim cemeteries in Spain and analyses their current situation. The Islamic burial issue in Spain, and in many other Western European countries, is one of the main needs and demands of Muslim communities and their citizens in general. In the case of Spain, these demands are various: to be able to have a place to bury their deceased in accordance with Islamic practices, or the improvement and adaptation of the enclosures or better public management. This text classifies the different types of Muslim cemeteries in Spain and analyses their current situation. Finally, based on three case studies, this article analyses the processes of claiming the Islamic funerary issue, and the different dynamics of the actors who own the land and the citizens. La cuestión funeraria islámica se conforma en España, así como en muchos otros países de Europa occidental, como una de las principales necesidades y demandas de las comunidades musulmanas y de su ciudadanía en general. En el caso español estas demandas van desde poder contar con un espacio donde enterrar a sus difuntos de forma acorde a las prácticas islámicas, hasta la mejora y adecuación de los recintos o una mejor gestión pública. Este texto clasifica los distintos tipos de cementerios musulmanes en España y analiza su situación actual. Tras ello, este texto estudia a partir de tres estudios de caso, los procesos de reivindicación en torno a la cuestión funeraria islámica; así como las diferentes dinámicas tanto de los actores detentadores del suelo, como de la ciudanía. A questão do funeral islâmico é uma das principais necessidades e demandas das comunidades muçulmanas e dos cidadãos em geral na Espanha, assim como em muitos outros países da Europa Ocidental. No caso da Espanha, essas demandas vão desde ter um lugar para enterrar seus falecidos de acordo com as práticas islâmicas até a melhoria e a adaptação dos recintos ou uma melhor gestão pública. Este texto classifica os diferentes tipos de cemitérios muçulmanos na Espanha e analisa sua situação atual. Em seguida, usa três estudos de caso para estudar os processos de reivindicação da questão funerária islâmica, bem como as diferentes dinâmicas dos atores que possuem a terra e do público.
