description This article presents the theoretical and methodological bases of the lithic technological studies from the French prehistorical school, following (in this specific case) the guidelines developed by J. Pelegrin, from the CNRS Research Laboratory of Technologie et Ethnologie des Mondes PrehistoriqueS (UMR 8068 TEMPS). A set of knapped lithic from the archaeological site of Yurac Corral (Ayacucho, Peru), had been chosen for the application of this principles. The lithic set presented here is part of a larger assemblage that was analysed in the PhD dissertation carried out by L. Valenzuela Leyva, directed by J. Pelegrin. Although Yurac Corral has barely been explored and therefore we do not have all the elements the complete the outlook of the knapping activity, we consider that the collection showed here represent a first approach to understand how this methodology could be applied. Thus, our article aims to introduce the reader to this methodology, considering the proposals are always open to discussion, according to different contexts.

Este artículo presenta las bases teóricas y metodológicas de los estudios tecnológicos líticos de la escuela prehistórica francesa, siguiendo (en este caso concreto) las directrices desarrolladas por J. Pelegrin, del Laboratorio de Investigación Technologie et Ethnologie des Mondes PrehistoriqueS (UMR 8068 TEMPS) del CNRS (Centre National de Recherches Scientifiques). Para la aplicación de estos principios se ha elegido un conjunto lítico de talla procedente del yacimiento arqueológico de Yurac Corral (Ayacucho, Perú). El conjunto lítico aquí presentado forma parte de un ensamblaje mayor que fue analizado en la tesis doctoral realizada por L. Valenzuela Leyva, bajo la dirección de J. Pelegrin. Aunque Yurac Corral apenas ha sido explorado y por tanto no disponemos de todos los elementos que completen el panorama de la actividad de talla, consideramos que la muestra aquí presentada representa una primera aproximación para entender cómo podría aplicarse esta metodología. Así, nuestro artículo pretende introducir al lector en este enfoque, considerando que las propuestas están siempre abiertas a discusión, según los diferentes contextos arqueológicos. Este artigo apresenta as bases teóricas e metodológicas dos estudos tecnológicos líticos da escola pré-histórica francesa, seguindo (nesse caso específico) as diretrizes desenvolvidas por J. Pelegrin, do Laboratório de Pesquisa Technologie et Ethnologie des Mondes PrehistoriqueS (UMR 8068 TEMPS) do CNRS (Centre National de Recherches Scientifiques). Para a aplicação desses princípios, foi escolhido um conjunto de entalhes líticos do sítio arqueológico de Yurac Corral (Ayacucho, Peru). O conjunto lítico apresentado aqui faz parte de um conjunto maior que foi analisado na tese de doutorado realizada por L. Valenzuela Leyva, sob a direção de J. Pelegrin. Embora Yurac Corral tenha sido pouco explorado e, portanto, não tenhamos todos os elementos para completar o quadro da atividade de entalhe, consideramos que a amostra apresentada aqui representa uma primeira aproximação para entender como essa metodologia poderia ser aplicada. Assim, nosso artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar ao leitor essa abordagem, considerando que as propostas estão sempre abertas à discussão, dependendo dos diferentes contextos arqueológicos.
