Starting with some of the key concepts developed by the authors as “Mesh,” “perspectivism” and “relation”, this work seeks to understand the mortification as the responsible essence the implementation of all the relational actions and meanings present in Opus Dei. Even though I refer to the authors, the discussion includes reports of the first fieldwork on Alfa Cultural Center in São José dos Campos/ SP (Brazil), between 2012 and 2013. Este trabajo propone una breve discusión sobre el método etnográfico contemporáneo representado por Bruno Latour, Marilyn Strathern y Eduardo Viveiros de Castro. A partir de algunos de los conceptos clave desarrollados por los autores como "Malla", "perspectivismo" y "relación", esta obra pretende entender la mortificación como el responsable es la esencia de la realización de todas las acciones y significados relacionales presentes en el Opus Dei. A pesar de que me refiero a los autores, la discusión incluye informes del primer trabajo de campo sobre el Centro Cultural Alfa en São José dos Campos/SP (Brasil), entre 2012 y 2013. Este trabalho propõe uma breve discussão sobre método etnográfico contemporâneo exponenciado por Bruno Latour, Marilyn Strathern e Eduardo Viveiros de Castro. Partindo de alguns dos principais conceitos elaborados pelos autores, como “rede”, “perspectivismo” e “relação”, o artigo busca compreender a mortificação como a essência responsável pela concretização de todas as ações relacionais e os sentidos presentes no interior do Opus Dei. Além de recorrer aos autores, a discussão abarca relatos da primeira pesquisa de campo realizada no Centro Cultural Alfa, em São José dos Campos/SP (Brasil), entre 2012 e 2013.
