We will analyze the concept of convergence from a technical and sociological perspective, in order to track the social place of cinema throughout its development and finally observe the experiences that this medium develops today to stay connected with the society that surrounds it. To this purpose we will review the film Life in a day by Kevin MacDonald (2011) as an example of these narrative experiences. En este trabajo, procuraremos observar cuál es la realidad de la sociedad actual en relación al paradigma de la convergencia, como contexto de producción para los realizadores cinematográficos actuales. Analizaremos el propio concepto de convergencia desde una perspectiva sociológica y técnica, para luego rastrear el lugar social del cine a lo largo de su desarrollo y finalmentever cuáles son las experiencias que hoy desarrolla este medio para mantenerse en vinculación con el sentir de la sociedad que lo rodea. Para hacerlo, revisaremos, a modo de ejemplo de estas experiencias narrativas, el filme La vida en un día de Kevin MacDonald (2011).
