We hold that the policy of aggrandizement of the "national interest" that marks the Chinese advance is stabilized in the relation with Russia and the rest of Southeast Asia, and this "architecture" begins to be strengthened to try to circumvent the risks of entering into a confrontation with the United States. We review some features of a military nature, under the assumption that it is a very significant issue and where the US ranks first, and China's exceptional growth in all others. We also pay special attention to the relation established by China with South America, as we believe that China constructs a "global South" with the aim of increasing its global power status. Abordamos el tablero en el que se juega la posición que aspira ocupar China en el concierto de las naciones y los obstáculos que se le presentan. Sostenemos que la política de engrandecimiento del “interés nacional” que signa el avance chino se estabiliza en el vínculo que traza con Rusia y con el resto del sudeste asiático, y que esa arquitectura comienza a robustecerse para intentar sortear los riesgos de entablar una confrontación con Estados Unidos. Repasamos ciertos rasgos de índole militar, bajo la suposición de que es un terreno significativo, dada la preeminencia estadounidense y el crecimiento excepcional de China en todos los otros. Prestamos, asimismo, especial atención a los vínculos que la potencia asiática establece con Sudamérica, ya que consideramos que China se recuesta en el “Sur global” con el objetivo de incrementar su status de potencia global.
