The ACT lays its foundations in functional contextualism and in the theory of the relational framework (RFT) to understand and explain the various human problems, in that line, it proposes psychological flexibility as a unified model of human functioning, thus ACT aims to help those who are suffering through the development of a practice of psychology that is more respectful of the challenge that implies humanity.
