But for that, it is first necessary to refer to the elite in general, ie, outline a historical and sociological characterization, although rough, of the social, political, economic and cultural elites, their composition and their power bases and consider the weight of immigration. After reviewing some bibliography about the issue, an analysis of the intellectual figures is proposed from their practices, considering the multiplicity of existing criteria for the recognition of those figures at the time.  Este artículo intenta caracterizar la fracción intelectual de la elite en Córdoba a fines del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX, un conjunto de individuos que se autoconsideraban y eran reconocidos, al menos por un sector de la sociedad, como “intelectuales”. Pero para eso, primero es necesario referirnos a laelite en general, es decir, esbozarunacaracterizaciónhistóricaysociológica, aunque somera,delaselitessociales, políticas, económicasyculturales; sucomposiciónsocialylasbasesdesupoder, asícomoconsiderarelpesodelainmigración. Tras la revisión de cierta bibliografía referida a la cuestión, se propone comenzar el análisis de figuras intelectuales a partir de sus prácticas, observando en el giro de siglo la multiplicidad de criterios existentes para el reconocimiento de esas figuras.  Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
