Their productions are characterized by an essayistic narrative based on the remontage of the audiovisual archive. Their pieces stand out for their circulation, as they travel through different expositive spaces such as museums, art galleries and film festivals, among others. They occupy an insular place within the contemporary artistic field without being anchored to a fixed space, navigating between different exhibition formats. These audiovisual works propose a reflection on the images produced by the digital devices that record our current world, such as Google Earth, YouTube, drone footage, military images or the recording of space probe cameras. Each artist extracts these materials from the internet and assembles his or her own archive and then reassembles it an innovative way. Wetzel criticizes the security model of our society. Weber drifts through the infinite archives of the internet proposing a meditation on the ontology of these images. Navas dives into the past and edits the documents that testify to the repression of the native peoples of the Chaco in order to contrast them with the present images of this territory. El trabajo propone un acercamiento a las obras de tres realizadores emergentes de Argentina: Agustina Wetzel, Maia Navas y Pablo Martín Weber. Sus producciones se caracterizan por una narrativa ensayística fundada en el remontaje del archivo audiovisual. Sus piezas se distinguen por la circulación que tienen ya que transitan distintos espacios expositivos como museos, galerías de arte y festivales cinematográficos, entre otros. Estas ocupan un lugar insular dentro del campo artístico contemporáneo sin anclarse a un espacio fijo, navegando entre distintos formatos exhibitivos. En sus trabajos proponen una reflexión sobre las imágenes que producen los dispositivos digitales que registran nuestro mundo actual. Allí aparecen Google Earth, YouTube, filmaciones de drones, imágenes militares e incluso el registro de cámaras de sondas espaciales. Cada artista extrae estos diversos materiales de internet y conforma su propio acervo para luego remontarlo de modo novedoso. Wetzel hace una crítica al modelo securitario de nuestra sociedad. Weber deriva por los archivos infinitos de la red proponiendo una meditación sobre la ontología de estas imágenes. Navas bucea en el pasado y edita los documentos que atestiguan la represión sobre los pueblos originarios del Chaco para contraponerlos a las imágenes del presente de ese territorio.
