Considering Foucault's analysis of Manet's painting, we focus on the materiality of the work as part of the construction of meaning. With this approach we want to contribute to the understanding of the multiple presentations of the work of Graciela Sacco in different public and private scenarios, its contents and strategies of materialization and circulation as a whole diverse and integrated at the same time. Este breve ensayo apunta a reflexionar sobre ciertos elementos emergentes que deja avizorar la obra de la artista rosarina Graciela Sacco.Partiendo de un corpus de sus obras, en especial de la imagen de “El incendio y las vísperas”, materializada de múltiples formas y sobre distintos soportes, siguiendo a Foucault en su análisis sobre Manet, tomamos algunos aspectos que consideramos sustantivos. Se trata de la integración, en la materialidad de la obra, del soporte, formando parte de la construcción del significado. Esto aporta a la comprensión de la múltiple presentación de la obra en distintos escenarios.Por una parte, contextualizamos la obra durante su proceso de producción y posproducción, en referencia directa a los factores sociales y el momento históricos del acontecimiento, que le dan vida y sentido.Otro aspecto que se considera en el trabajo es el de las fronteras, entre lo público y lo privado (la calle o el museo), entre el ámbito institucional, la galería de arte privada y la utilización del espacio público, semi público, lo cerrado o lo abierto, como lugar de exhibición.El desarrollo de estos temas conduce a un modo posible de comprender los contenidos y las estrategias de materialización y circulación de la obra de Graciela Sacco como un todo diverso y a su vez integrado.
