We worked with deep interviews to 20 people belonging to different neighborhoods in the capital city of the province of Neuquén, Argentina. Existing statistics for the population under study were also reviewed. As a conclusion, the homes studied are considered vulnerable to food insecurity since most of the enumerated factors affect food security negatively and those with more encouraging characteristics do not have consolidated assets to face adversities without suffering important risks as regards the nutritional situation of each of their members. La vulnerabilidad a la inseguridad alimentaria se interpreta como un estado en el que existe un riesgo, motivado por condiciones económicas, sociales o ambientales, de que el acceso a suficiente alimento inocuo, que satisfaga las necesidades alimentarias de las personas se vea reducido. Se trabajó con entrevistas en profundidad a 20 personas pertenecientes a diferentes barrios de la ciudad capital de la provincia de Neuquén. También se revisaron estadísticas existentes para la población en estudio. Se concluye el estudio considerando los hogares estudiados como vulnerables s la inseguridad alimentaria ya que la mayoría de los factores enunciados repercuten negativamente en la seguridad alimentaria y los que poseen características más alentadoras, no tienen los activos consolidados como para hacer frente a adversidades sin sufrir riesgos importantes a nivel del estado nutricional de cada uno de sus miembros. A vulnerabilidade à insegurança alimentar é interpretada como um estado em que há risco, decorrente das condições econômicas, sociais ou ambientais, de que o acesso suficiente a alimentos seguros, atendendo às necessidades alimentares das pessoas, seja reduzido. Pesquisou-se com entrevistas em profundidade de 20 pessoas pertencentes a diferentes bairros da capital da província de Neuquén. Estatísticas existentes para a população de estudo também foram consultadas. A pesquisa conclui considerando as famílias estudadas como vulneráveis à insegurança alimentar já que a maioria dos fatores apontados afeta negativamente na segurança alimentar e, aqueles que possuem características mais positivas, não dispõem de recursos consolidados para enfrentar as adversidades sem sofrer riscos importantes no estado nutricional de cada um dos seus membros.
