PSM Problem Structuring Methods are mentioned; with its main characteristics and foundations, like tools that may be employed to support structuring activity.The work is based on a bibliographical exploration presenting the concepts of the international main relating experts and the tendencies of the topic structuring of problems inside MCDA.The developed methods are structured and rigorous in order to reach effective results, in spite of being considered to PSM like "soft? El Análisis de Decisiones Multicriterio -MCDA- Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, ha sido ampliamente usado en la Administración como una herramienta para evaluar opciones cuando se trata de decisiones complejas con varias alternativas que involucran criterios en conflicto. A pesar de la importancia de la formulación de problemas en la toma de decisiones, nos encontramos con escasa literatura sobre el proceso de articulación y definición de un problema multicriterio.Este artículo examina el rol de los problemas de estructuración en intervenciones MCDA, iniciando en la definición de problema, señalando el nivel requerido de la participación para la correcta estructuración del modelo ubicando la estructuración dentro del proceso MCDA. Se mencionan los Métodos de Estructuración de Problemas –PSM- Problem Structuring Methods, con sus principales características y bases, como herramientas que pueden emplearse para apoyar la actividad.El trabajo se basa en una exploración bibliográfica presentando los conceptos de los principales expertos referentes internacionales y las tendencias del tema estructuración de problemas dentro de MCDA.Los métodos desarrollados son estructurados y rigurosos a fin de alcanzar resultados efectivos, a pesar de considerarse a PSM como Investigación Operativa ?soft”.
