In the introductory section we present some economic, social and political dimensions of the context in which these strategies were developed. Then, we explain our relational way of constructing poverty –an approach that combines a quantitative and a qualitative dimension of research– and we characterize the class in which the families we refer to in this work are positioned. Third, we reconstruct the housing strategies pursued by these families in the city of Córdoba in the 1990s, taking into account the objective conditions that weighed on their practices and the representations associated with them. Finally, we propose some considerations that aim to explain and understand the identified modalities of access to land and housing in relation to: the volume and structure of the families' capital, their residential trajectories, and certain symbolic principles and social distinction.

Sobre la base de un trabajo colectivo de investigación acerca de las dinámicas recientes de la reproducción social de familias cordobesas, en este trabajo proponemos un abordaje sociológico de la dimensión espacial de la desigualdad social en la ciudad de Córdoba a partir de la explicación y comprensión de las estrategias habitacionales desplegadas por familias pobres. En el apartado introductorio presentamos algunas dimensiones económicas, sociales y políticas del contexto en el cual se desenvolvieron esas estrategias. Luego, explicitamos nuestra manera relacional de construir la pobreza –abordaje que combina una dimensión cuantitativa y una cualitativa de investigación– y caracterizamos la clase en la que se posicionan las familias a las que nos referimos en este trabajo. En tercer lugar, reconstruimos las estrategias habitacionales desplegadas por esas familias en la ciudad de Córdoba en la década de 1990 teniendo en cuenta las condiciones objetivas que pesaron sobre sus prácticas y las representaciones asociadas a estas. Finalmente, proponemos algunas consideraciones que apuntan a explicar y comprender las modalidades identificadas de acceso al suelo y a la vivienda en relación con el volumen y la estructura del capital de las familias, con sus trayectorias residenciales y con determinados principios simbólicos y de distinción social. A partir de uma pesquisa coletiva sobre as dinâmicas recentes da reprodução social das famílias cordobesas, propomos neste artigo uma abordagem sociológica da dimensão espacial da desigualdade social na cidade de Córdoba a partir da explicação e compreensão das estratégias habitacionais dos pobres famílias. Na seção introdutória apresentamos algumas dimensões econômicas, sociais e políticas do contexto em que essas estratégias foram desenvolvidas. Em seguida, explicitamos nosso modo relacional de construção da pobreza –uma abordagem que combina uma dimensão quantitativa e outra qualitativa da pesquisa– e caracterizamos a classe em que se situam as famílias às quais nos referimos neste trabalho. Em terceiro lugar, reconstrói as estratégias habitacionais desenvolvidas por essas famílias na cidade de Córdoba na década de 1990, levando em conta as condições objetivas que pesaram sobre suas práticas e as representações associadas a elas. Finalmente, propomos algumas considerações que visam explicar e compreender as modalidades identificadas de acesso à terra e à habitação em relação ao volume e estrutura do capital das famílias, com as suas trajetórias residenciais e com determinados princípios simbólicos e de distinção social.
