Sumario:The article goes through the Argentine architecture magazines that in the postwar period contributed to the construction of the discussion around the social function of professionals. The approach to the social question entered the agenda with the modernization of the State and the growth of the masses in the cities, which forced the formation of new experts for housing and urban public policies. New practices that implied the updating of public discourse to legitimize them socially and culturally, as well as to dispute within the professional field about their dominant senses and ways of relating to the State and political discussion. The work carries out a characterization of the main media that contributed to the discussion: Nuestra Arquitectura and the Revista and Boletin de la Sociedad Central de Arquitectos, going through various articles published that allow us to see how the discussion was configured and new places from which to build the role of male and female architects in public policies and the problems of social reality.
