To do this, it reviews the main attempts to modify the integration of the Court in the history of our country. The criterion used to carry out this analysis is that the reforms were successful. That is, that the composition of the Court was effectively altered. With this scenario in mind, the work describes and criticizes the arguments that were used to approve the aforementioned project in the National Senate. Finally, the text concludes that these arguments are strategic, rather than institutional with a view to the better functioning of the Court. El artículo analiza una propuesta de reforma a la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación aprobada por el Senado. Para hacer eso, pasa revista a los principales intentos de modificación a la integración del Tribunal en la historia de nuestro país. El criterio que se utiliza para hacer ese análisis es que las reformas sean exitosas. Esto es, que la composición de la Corte efectivamente fue alterada. Con este escenario en mente, el trabajo describe y critica los argumentos que se utilizaron para aprobar el referido proyecto en el Senado de la Nación.
