Close to I. jara Monteiro & Lordello, 1977 by the measurements, it differs by a head region very set off and by the position of excretory pore. Males of I. breviannulata n. sp. are characterized by a well developed titillae. Una nueva especie del género Ibipora Monteiro & Lordello, 1977 es descripta. I. breviannulata n. sp. posee hembras y machos . Esta especie se caracteriza principalmente por la reducida cantidad de anillos cefálicos. Semejante a I. jara Monteiro & Lordello, 1977 por los caracteres morfométricos, se diferencia de la misma por: a) hembras: una mayor separación de la región cefllica respecto del cuerpo y por la posición más a posterior del poro excretor; b) machos: además de los caracteres mencionados, los machos de I. breviannulata n. sp. se distinguen de los de I. jara por poseer titillae muy desarrollados.
