The research was carried out with 54 volunteers from a health care cooperative that encourages volunteer work among its employees. Qualitative and quantitative research techniques were adopted to develop the case study with data collection through documentary research, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, whose presentation involved the use of descriptive data techniques. The research results indicate that the Volunteer Program is a tool for human and professional development of employees and consequently beneficial for the cooperative. On the other hand, the cooperative gains with image, brand appreciation, positive corporate culture and a good relationship with the community and organizations. The research contributed significantly to a better understanding of the purpose of a volunteer program and its benefits for all involved, in addition to indicating volunteering as a management tool aligned with the cooperative's strategies. O objetivo deste estudo foi de identificar os benefícios do voluntariado corporativo para os colaboradores e para a cooperativa estudada. A pesquisa foi realizada com 54 voluntários de uma cooperativa do ramo de saúde que estimula o trabalho voluntário entre seus colaboradores. Foram adotadas técnicas de pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa para desenvolver o estudo de caso com coletas de dados por meio de pesquisa documental, questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas, cuja apresentação envolveram a utilização de técnicas descritiva dos dados. Os resultados da pesquisa indicam que o Programa de Voluntariado é uma ferramenta de desenvolvimento humano e profissional dos colaboradores e consequentemente benéfico para a cooperativa. Por outro lado, a cooperativa obtém ganhos com imagem, valorização da marca, cultura corporativa positiva e um bom relacionamento com a comunidade e organizações. A pesquisa contribuiu significativamente para um melhor entendimento do propósito de um programa de voluntariado e seus benefícios para todos os envolvidos, além de indicar o voluntariado como ferramenta de gestão alinhado as estratégias da cooperativa.
