In a second moment, from a synchronous perspective located in the present, the focus will be on a central and specific problem that concerns foreign languages, linked to the concepts of capital and linguistic repertoires. To this end, we will turn to the results of an investigation carried out at the National University of Luján (UNLu). These concepts will allow us to account for the current state of foreign languages in our university, both in an institutional (linguistic capital) and an individual dimension (linguistic repertories). Colaborar en un dossier titulado Las lenguas extranjeras en el nivel superior argentino: recorridos, logros y desafíos nos plantea, en un primer momento, la necesidad de asumir una mirada diacrónica sobre la inserción temprana de los idiomas vivos en el sistema universitario nacional, para focalizar, más tarde, desde una mirada sincrónica situada en el presente, una problemática central y específica de las lenguas extranjeras, vinculada con los conceptos de capital y los repertorios lingüísticos, a partir de los resultados de una investigación desarrollada en la Universidad Nacional de Luján (UNLu). Estos conceptos nos permitirán dar cuenta del estado actual de las lenguas extranjeras en nuestra universidad, en su dimensión institucional (capital lingüístico) e individual (repertorios lingüísticos).
