This is what Trousseau assimilated to the character of aura, as it happens in the epileptic. After the attack, which has irremediably come to an end, the patient, who has seen death so closely, creates for himself an inner world in which the "angor animi" assumes its tragic hegemony. Como un presagio, muy frecuentemente, acontece lo que los alemanes han descripto como "Todesangts" o "Todesgefuehl ", esto es la certeza casi absoluta de la proximidad del ataque, que suelen tener ciertos pacientes: Allbutt destacó este estado psíquico describiéndolo como una subjetividad cuya principal característica consistía precisamente en la aterradora convicción de la inminencia de la muerte. Es lo que ya Trousseau asimilaba al carácter de aura, como acontece en el epiléptico. Pasado el ataque, que se ha realizado irremediablemente, el enfermo, que ha visto tan de cerca la muerte, crea para sí un mundo interior en que el "angor animi" asume su trágica hegemonía.
