The purpose of this case is to examine the diverse aspects of the processes of cultural democratization of the eighties from the perspective of Transdisciplinary Cultural History. This experience involves complex articulations between the material and the symbolic, the individual and the collective, the age and generation variables, gender and class, politics and economics, as well as traditions and aesthetic innovations that allow exploring the recent past and its socio-cultural processes. El artículo reconstruye fragmentos de las Bienales de Arte CIDAM/CID que se desarrollaron en la ciudad de Córdoba entre los años 1986 y 1998. Se aborda este caso con el objeto de acercarse – desde la Historia Cultural Transdisciplinar - a distintas dimensiones de los procesos de democratización cultural de los años ochenta. Esta experiencia entrama complejas articulaciones, entre lo material y lo simbólico, lo individual y lo colectivo, las variables etarias y de generación, de género y clase, las políticas y económicas, además de tradiciones e innovaciones estéticas que permiten explorar el pasado reciente y sus procesos socioculturales.
