The objective is to know the experiences of this particular exile in the lands of real socialism and to observe how the reception of Romanian society operated and to identify how a system of state solidarity was built under the socialist regime of Nicolau Ceausescu. This allowed them to insert themselves into this distant culture and at the same time maintain a very close political link with the process of resistance to the dictatorship that was maintained in Chile. El presente artículo indaga en la experiencia de los exiliados chilenos y chilenas, que llegaron a Rumania luego del golpe de Augusto Pinochet de 1973. El objetivo es conocer las vivencias de este particular exilio en las tierras del socialismo real y observar cómo operó la acogida de la sociedad rumana e identificar como se edificó un sistema de solidaridad estatal bajo el régimen socialista de Nicolau Ceausescu. Lo anterior, les permitió insertarse en esta distante cultura y a su vez mantener un vínculo político muy estrecho con el proceso de resistencia a la dictadura que se mantenía en Chile.
