In Rosario, the Federación Obrera Rosario held its first Congress, which in turn would be provincial. This Congress has not been studied in depth, but its resolutions laid the foundations of many of those that days later would be adopted by the IV Congress of the Federación Obrera Argentina, the national entity. We therefore believe that this Congress deserves to be rethought in its organizational dimension both at the local level in Rosario and for its impact at the provincial and national level. El año 1904 en Argentina estuvo signado por la conflictividad entre capital y trabajo, así como por el reacomodo de las fuerzas obreras después de una experiencia represiva violenta. En Rosario, la Federación Obrera Rosario llevó adelante su primer Congreso, el cual sería a su vez provincial. Este Congreso no ha sido estudiado en profundidad, pero sus resoluciones sentaron las bases de buena parte de las que días después serían adoptadas por el IV Congreso de la Federación Obrera Argentina, la entidad nacional. Creemos por tanto que este Congreso merece ser repensado en su dimensión organizativa tanto en el plano local de Rosario como por su impacto a nivel provincial y nacional.
