In the first place, we have taken the work of José Amícola Autobiografía como autofiguración. Estrategias discursivas del yo y cuestiones de género to build the theoretical category in order to observe two autofictional works (El común olvido and La busca del jardín) by the aforementioned authors. Secondly, this work delved into three aspects of the process called self-figuration and its relationship with the writings of the self: the displacement of identities, the relationship of resemblance between life and autobiographical narrative, and the formation of autobiographemes. Finally, we explored the different ways in which each author makes use of the self-figurative device in their literary production and, specifically, in the works of our corpus, and we analysed these self-figurative processes in the light of convergences and divergences from a comparatistic viewpoint. Este artículo explora el mecanismo de autofiguración en una selección de obras de dos autores argentinos: Sylvia Molloy y Héctor Bianciotti. En primer lugar, hemos tomado el trabajo de José Amícola Autobiografía como autofiguración. Estrategias discursivas del yo y cuestiones de género (2007) para construir el prisma teórico a través del cual observar dos obras autoficcionales: El común olvido (2002) y La busca del jardín (1978) de los autores mencionados. En segundo lugar, este trabajo profundiza en tres aspectos del proceso denominado autofiguración y su relación con las escrituras del yo: el desplazamiento de identidades, la relación de verosimilitud entre vida y relato autobiográfico y la conformación de autobiografemas.  Finalmente, exponemos las diferentes maneras en que cada autor hace uso del dispositivo de autofiguración en su producción literaria y específicamente en las obras de nuestro corpus y proponemos el análisis de esos procesos autofigurativos en clave de convergencias y divergencias desde la comparatística.
