The increase of new virtual communication tools, incorporated during the pandemic, has enabled culture to cross borders, significantly facilitating the encounter between the University and Society. Rethinked by means of new technological tools and physically from its various organizational structures, culture could be empowered by a political decision based on consensus, as the fourth pillar of Higher Education, together with academic, research and extension activities. In this way, future cultural initiatives and actions would be granted independence with their own entity, assuming in a substantive way the integrality of functions together with the traditional university missions La Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, desde su fundación hasta la actualidad, ha producido un significativo cumulo de hechos culturales sucedidos durante más de 400 años de historia, por medio de un espectro variado de manifestaciones expresadas en sus ámbitos académicos. El incremento de nuevas herramientas comunicacionales virtuales, incorporadas durante la pandemia, confirió a la cultura traspasar fronteras, facilitando de manera significativa el encuentro entre la Universidad y la Sociedad. Repensada por medio de las nuevas herramientas tecnológicas y físicamente desde sus variados estamentos y estructuras organizativas, la cultura podría empoderarse desde una decisión política basada en consensos, como cuarto pilar de la Educación Superior junto a la actividad académica, de investigación y extensión.
