description When an imbalance occurs in the work and professional training environments between the ability to respond and comply with labor demands and those of professional training in skills, respectively, it is then that a favorable scenario for the development of burnout is generated. Burnout syndrome is characterized by being multidimensional, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, lack of work fulfillment, guilt, sometimes some of these dimensions are affected and an imbalance occurs between the ability to respond and comply with work and training demands. professional in competencies respectively, it is then when a favorable scenario for the development of burnout is generated. Therefore it is possible that many professionals or professions potentially develop the syndrome, among them: students, nurses, doctors, social workers, teachers, police officers, etc. The objective was to analyze the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in health workers of the "Juan D. Perón" Regional Polyclinic in the city of Villa Mercedes, San Luis. Cross-sectional study. The Atienza 2010 Occupational Burnout Scale was used. The scale has 42 items that investigate 4 dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, lack of work fulfillment, guilt, scored on the Likert scale: 0 Never, 1 once a year, 2 once a month, 3 once a week, 4 several times a week, 5 every day. The result was divided into two ranges by the average, the method was factorial analysis and bivariate analysis. The respondents were invited to participate in a workshop on Burnout and within this framework, with prior consent, the scale was applied. The total number of workshop participants was 75, all agreed to complete the scale. The prevalence of Burnout syndrome in professionals is 5% moderate and 16% severe, 79% did not present burnout syndrome. The Burnout levels found are low, with no difference between the various occupations, we need to delve into new studies to evaluate the variables that maintain these low levels of burnout.

The Burnout levels found are low, with no difference between the various occupations, we need to delve into new studies to evaluate the variables that maintain these low levels of burnout. .
