The objective was to assess, in the allergy service of the National Hospital of Clinics in Córdoba, the sensitization of adults to different high prevalence house dust mites and compare this cutaneous response to different commercial extracts.
The SPT test was performed in 53 adults of both sexes with rhinitis or asthma who attended the Servicio de Alergia e Inmunología of the Hospital de Clinicas in Córdoba from June 2013 to February of 2014. Diater lancets from different commercial brands were used with: 5000 PNU of Allergo-Pharma (M1), DIATER (M2); Q pharma (M3) and R.Guerra (M4). Student's t and Chi square test were used as corresponded and a p < 0.05 as significant. software InfoStat 2018/p was employed.
Wheal and macula diameters were analyzed from. Antigens DP, PF and BT elicited wheals for M1 vs M2, M3 and M4 different (p <.05) Similar results to macula M1 vs. M3 and M4 (p <.01). The mean value of concentration of IgE was 285UI/ml±369. 59. The IgE concentration was categorized and analyzed according to the size of the wheal. For DP, the papule size increased the concentration of IgE up to 350 Ul/ml. higher IgE concentrations do not reflect this linearity. We analyzed the cutaneous response to Dp and Df of the same brands show high cross-reactivity. A majority of reactions were similar to both antigens to leaving only 15.5% of reactions that were positive for a single mite. These differences were significant (p = 0, 021).
There was a relationship between the size of macula and the concentration of IgE present in plasma; also there is a high cross-reactivity between high prevalence mites in our study. |

La prueba epicutánea de punción o Prick test (PT) detecta pacientes sensibles con riesgo mínimo de reacciones sistémicas. Los ácaros Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dt), Dermatophagoides farinae (Df) y Blomia tropicalis (Bt) son principales causantes de alérgenos y provocan mayor sensibilización. Surge el interrogante de si los distintos extractos comerciales en nuestro medio producen respuestas diagnósticas certeras. El objetivo fue evaluar la sensibilización en adultos que concurren al Servicio de Alergia del Hospital Nacional de Clínicas de Córdoba a extractos de ácaros de prevalencia y comparar la respuesta cutánea a productos estandarizados de diferente procedencia. Se realizó la prueba PT a 53 adultos de ambos sexos con rinitis y/o asma que asistieron al Servicio de Alergia del Hospital Nacional de Clínicas de Córdoba ( junio 2013 - febrero 2014). Se utilizaron lancetas Diater con 5000 PNU de Allergo-Pharma (M1), DIATER (M2); Q pharma (M3) y R.Guerra (M4). Se utilizaron test t de Student y Chi cuadrado según correspondió y un p<0.05 como significativo. Se utilizó el software InfoStat 2018/p. Se analizaron los diámetros de las maculas y pápulas. Para DP, PF y BT se observó que la pápula M1 vs M2,M3 y M4 fueron diferentes (p<.05) igual que la macula M1 vs M3 y M4 (p<.01).La concentración de IgE presentó un valor medio de 285UI/ml±369.59. Se categorizó la concentración de IgE y se analizó según el tamaño del habón. Para DP, el tamaño de la pápula se incrementó a medida que la concentración de Ig E aumenta hasta 350 Ul/ml. Concentraciones mayores de IgE no reflejan esta linealidad. Se analizó la respuesta cutánea frente a DT y DF de la misma marca ya que se observa reactividad cruzada. Una gran mayoría de reacciones coincidieron para ambos antígenos dejando tan solo un 15,5% de reacciones que fueron positivas para un solo tipo de acaro. Estas diferencias fueron significativas (p= 0, 021). Observamos una relación entre el tamaño de mácula y la concentración de IgE presente en plasma, además alta reactividad cruzada entre los ácaros de prevalencia en nuestro medio Universidad Nacional Córdoba.
