The current Plan (2024-2024) reinforces the indication that 10% of the total curricular credits of undergraduate courses must be related to students' participation in outreach programs and projects. This article analyzes the pre-established legal system and the application of the most recent regulatory framework on the subject: Resolution 07/2018 of the National Council of Education. In our analysis, we emphasize the legal content of the Resolution, considering its potential to become a “law”, that is to say, a national university outreach curriculum policy. A curricularização da extensão no Brasil se dá a partir de marcos normativos que remontam ao Plano Nacional de Educação de 2001. O Plano vigente (2014-2024) reforça e amplia a indicação de que 10% do total de créditos curriculares de cursos de graduação seja vinculado à participação discente em programas e projetos de extensão. No presente texto analisamos o sistema legal preestabelecido e a inserção do mais recente marco regulatório sobre a temática: a Resolução 07/2018 do Conselho Nacional de Educação. Em nossa análise, optamos por elucidar o teor da Resolução, considerando sua capacidade de estabelecer a “lei”, quer dizer, uma política de curricularização extensão universitária a nível nacional.
