Therefore it is important that organizations care about creating optimal conditions in order to keep staff motivated and have a good performance in their work and high levels of satisfaction. This research was aimed at determining the level of job satisfaction of nurses of special services in a private health institution, for what use was made Fernandez - Rivers: economic compensation, physical conditions work environment, support and respect for superiors, recognition by others when needed and the possibility of staff development work. I field research was used and the information was obtained through a 21-item questionnaire applied to nurses at a private institution. The investigation showed that the staff is satisfied. La satisfacción laboral es un conjunto de sen-timientos tanto positivos como negativos que tiene un trabajador hacia su trabajo, generado por diversos factores particulares relacionados con la labor que realiza y con las condiciones bajo las cuales se efectúa. Por lo tanto, es importante que las organizaciones se preocupen por crear condi-ciones óptimas con el fin de mantener al personal motivado y que tenga un buen desempeño en la labor que realizan y altos niveles de satisfac-ción. La presente investigación, estuvo orientada a determinar el nivel de satisfacción laboral del personal de enfermería de servicios especiales en una institución de salud privada, para lo que se hizo uso de siete factores de satisfacción señala-dos Fernández – Ríos: la retribución económica, las condiciones físicas del entorno de trabajo, el apoyo y respeto a los superiores, el reconocimien-to por parte de los demás cuando es necesario y la posibilidad de desarrollo para el personal de trabajo. Se utilizo una investigación de campo y la información se obtuvo a través de un cuestionario de 21 ítems, aplicado al personal de enfermería en una institución privada. La investigación arrojo que el personal se encuentra satisfecho. Sanatorio Allende.
