| Sumario: | Museums at the end of XIX century and early XX have been created as repositories of assets as well as they have been contributed to build a political project around an hegemonic platform. In this sense, museums have been constituted active participants in symbolic processes that contribute to building social reality. Cultural material and archaeological objects question past representations, specially, when collections from different historic times are involved.
In this paper, we are concerned to analyzed different aspects related with archaeological collections from Archaeological and Anthropological Museum Casa Martínez (Corrientes). On one hand, tasks related to order and record of documents and archaeological collections initiated since its opening.
On the other hand, we are interested in past representations observable through its different places and exhibited assets.
Therefore, it is our goal to investigate what kind of past is presented, under which aspects (architectonic, archaeological, documental) are used and how the cultural material exhibited is tackled. |
