For thosewas made documental research from registration forms and evaluations of students from elementary School on a robotic championshiprealized on a school and field research too about social representation those that students had about gender and scientific professionals.At the end of the research was identified the showing results for students who had classes with a female teacher andstudents had classes with male teachers, indicating that female teaching in predominantly male areas can modify the patriarchal hegemonicconceptions about the women on Science. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo verificar se o gênero do docente pode influenciar na representação social construída por estudantessobre cientistas. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa documental a partir das fichas de inscrição e avaliação de discentes do EnsinoFundamental num campeonato de robótica realizado numa escola e também uma pesquisa de campo sobre a representação socialque tais discentes tinham sobre gênero e profissões científicas. Ao final da pesquisa identificou-se diferenças entre os resultados apresentadospor discentes que tinham aulas com professora e discentes que tinham aulas com professor, indicando que a representatividadefeminina na docência em áreas predominantemente masculinizadas pode modificar concepções patriarcais hegemônicas sobreo papel das mulheres na Ciência.
