From a qualitative design, the configuration of the professional field of Social Work in health was addressed, particularly the Social Service of the Córdoba Hospital, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic during the period from March to November 2020. This research was motivated by the heterogeneity of questions in the field of health in general and the discipline of Social Work in particular when installing a new health scenario and a new general context. Thus, from the angle of the researcher, the dynamics that the Social Service acquired in the face of the health measures that were implemented and how the professionals who worked there experienced the changes that were occurring were analyzed. El artículo se fundamenta en la investigación desarrollada durante el proceso de formación académica de posgrado de las Residencias de Trabajo Social y Salud en el Centro Formador del Servicio Social del Hospital Córdoba. Desde un diseño cualitativo se abordó la configuración del campo profesional del Trabajo Social en salud, particularmente del Servicio Social del Hospital Córdoba, frente al contexto de pandemia por covid-19 durante el período de marzo a noviembre de 2020. Motivó esta investigación la heterogeneidad de interrogantes en el campo de la salud en general y de la disciplina del Trabajo Social en particular, al instalarse un nuevo escenario sanitario y un nuevo contexto general. Desde el ángulo de la investigadora, se analizó la dinámica que adquirió el Servicio Social frente a las medidas sanitarias que se implementaron y cómo experimentaron y vivenciaron las profesionales que allí se desempeñaron, los cambios que iban ocurriendo.
