It is the result of the reflection and questions about my participation as a teacher attached to the supervision of level I of practices of the Social Work career, carried out during 2018 in the faculty of political and social sciences of the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. For this, the theoretical category of intersectionality is located, the characteristics of the social actors and the institutions involved in the practices are explained, pointing out the challenges that adjustment policies have imposed in recent years in Mendoza. With an emphasis on the social framework marked by the deepening of neoliberalism and conservatism in the Region, which allow us to recognize some markers of domination and social organization (social class, racism, gender, gender) that operate simultaneously on people and populations to maintain inequalities, which together allows us to reflect on the contributions of intersectionality to Social Work. El artículo señala la pertinencia teórico-práctica de la categoría de interseccionalidad en el proceso de lectura de la realidad y de análisis de las desigualdades, en tanto herramienta que contribuye a la construcción de toma de postura crítica e intervención frente a los problemas sociales que aborda el trabajo social. Este texto surge como resultado de la propia reflexión e interrogantes en torno a mi participación como docente adscripta a la supervisión del nivel I de prácticas de la carrera de Trabajo Social, realizada durante el año 2018 en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. Para ello, se sitúa la categoría teórica de interseccionalidad, se explicitan las características de los actores sociales y de las instituciones involucradas en las prácticas, señalando los desafíos que han impuesto las políticas de ajuste en los últimos años en Mendoza, República Argentina. Se destacan aspectos del entramado social signados por la profundización del neoliberalismo y conservadurismo en la región que permiten reconocer algunos marcadores de dominación y organización social (clase social, racismo, sexo género) que operan simultáneamente sobre las personas y poblaciones para mantener las desigualdades, lo que en conjunto permite reflexionar sobre los aportes de la interseccionalidad al trabajo social.
