In our professional intervention, we visualize that the labor situation represents a constant concern among those whose motor disability interrupts their vital process. In this sense, we consider that work is a central category that allows self-realization, autonomy and socialization and, therefore, we set out to know how disability affects work activity and the limitations or not that people find when trying to reinsert themselves in the labor market. With this objective in mind, we carried out research that aimed to describe the employment situation of people who attend outpatient treatment at this Institute through surveys. We start from the assumption that the acquisition of a motor disability reduces the possibilities of inclusion or permanence in the labour market. La presente investigación se encuadra en nuestra condición de residentes de tercer año en el departamento de Servicio Social del Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación Psicofísica del Sur (I.Na.Re.P.S)[1], cuyo objetivo se orienta a la rehabilitación de las personas con discapacidad a fin de lograr su reinserción social. En nuestra intervención profesional, visualizamos que la situación laboral representa una preocupación constante entre quienes  la discapacidad motriz irrumpe en su proceso vital. En este sentido, consideramos que el trabajo es una categoría central que permite la autorrealización, la autonomía y la socialización y, por ello, nos propusimos conocer cómo incide la discapacidad en la actividad laboral y las limitaciones o no que encuentran las personas al intentar reinsertarse en el mercado laboral. Con ese objetivo realizamos la investigación que pretende, a través de encuestas a personas que asisten a tratamiento ambulatorio en este Instituto, describir la situación laboral que atraviesan. Partimos del supuesto de que la adquisición de una discapacidad motriz reduce las posibilidades de inclusión o permanencia en el mercado de trabajo.   [1] El I.Na.Re.P.S es un Instituto de rehabilitación psicomotriz de referencia en Argentina que se destaca por el abordaje interdisciplinario de la discapacidad. Integran el equipo de rehabilitación los Servicios de Terapia Física, Fonoaudiología, Terapia Ocupacional, Psicología, Trabajo Social y Fisiatría.
