We aim to report the teaching experience of students of the undergraduate course in Chemistry at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI) Cocal campus in a Training Course for the Junior Chemistry Olympiad, with students from public schools in Cocal-PI. The approaches used involved lectures, dialogues and practical activities. From the activities, the students integrated in a way that the dialogue and exchange of ideas was intensified. For the undergraduate students, the experience also allowed them to increase their pedagogical training. We conclude that the activities developed contributed, to a large extent, to the learning of Chemistry of public school students. Ações de divulgação científica são relevantes, especialmente, quando promovem a participação e o engajamento femininos. Objetiva-se relatar a experiência docente de estudantes do curso de Licenciatura em Química do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Piauí (IFPI) campus Cocal em um Curso de Formação para a Olimpíada de Química Júnior, com estudantes de escolas públicas de Cocal-PI. As abordagens envolveram aulas expositivas, dialogadas e atividades práticas. A partir das atividades, as alunas integraram-se de forma que o diálogo e a troca de ideias foi intensificado. Para as estudantes de licenciatura, a experiência também lhes permitiu o incremento na formação pedagógica. Conclui-se que as atividades desenvolvidas contribuíram para a aprendizagem de Química das estudantes das escolas públicas.
