The analysis includes official documents and proposals related to primary schools and teacher training programs, since the enactment of the National Education Law No 26,206 in 2006, until 2020. This study shows a growing promotion of environmental literacy, although it is still necessary to continue fostering its effective implementation. Este trabajo intenta identificar y describir las políticas públicas establecidas a nivel nacional y en la Provincia de Santa Fe, tendientes a fomentar la alfabetización ambiental de la población, es decir, su formación como ciudadanos y ciudadanas responsables y partícipes en la toma de decisiones fundamentadas que hagan efectivo el derecho a un ambiente sano que garantice el derecho a vivir. Para ello, se analizan documentos y propuestas oficiales relacionadas con la educación primaria y la formación docente para la misma, en el período comprendido desde la sanción de la Ley de Educación Nacional Nº 26206, en 2006, hasta el 2020.
