By means of theoretical contributions, it seeks to deepen in discussions that gravitate around gender issues and its implications in the artistic work, providing tools that enable other ways of thinking about music teaching within educational institutions. The article is based on the monographic work I wrote for the Planning and Teaching Practice course of the Music Education Teacher Training Course. Este artículo pretende dar respuesta a un interrogante surgido a partir del proceso de residencia docente, sobre la influencia de la construcción de género en el trabajo áulico en general y en la clase de Música en particular. Mediante aportes teóricos se procura ahondar en discusiones que gravitan en torno a la temática de género y sus implicancias en el quehacer artístico, para facilitar herramientas que habiliten otras maneras de pensar la enseñanza musical dentro de las instituciones educativas. El artículo se basa en el trabajo monográfico que realicé para la cátedra de Planeamiento y Práctica Docente del Profesorado de Educación Musical.
